Social Events

ILMF provided its delegates with an opportunity to experience Denver and Colorado at its best, while connecting with an international audience of LiDAR professionals! Who says work can't be fun!

ICE BREAKER EVENING
Wednesday February 20 2008

5.30pm - 8.30pm Wynkoop Brewery, 1634 18th Street, Denver Delegates were invited to join the Rocky ROGUES*at The Wynkoop Brewing Company, Colorado's oldest brew pub housed in the glorious J. S. Brown Mercantile Building. Not only a great introduction to the spirit of Denver but it was an ideal opportunity to meet up with the Geospatial community in Colorado - the ROGUES specifically planned this gathering to coincide with ILMF and it was definitely one of those events not to be missed!

OPENING NIGHT COCKTAIL RECEPTION
Thursday February 21 2008

5.30pm- 7.00pm Exhibit Hall at the Adam’s Mark Hotel – This was a perfect opportunity to spend more time meeting with the exhibiting companies whilst enjoying the bar and food that was on offer.

Ski TrainSKI TRAIN TRIP
Saturday February 23 2008

Skiers and sightseers alike were invited to enjoy a day at Winter Park, one of Colorado’s most popular winter destinations on 23rd February 2008 when the ILMF team hired two private club cars aboard America’s largest scheduled passenger train for a picture-perfect journey through the dramatic peaks of the Rockies. We travelled through the most unbelievable scenery and on arrival at the Winter Park, there were a variety of things to do, including skiing, showboarding, riding a snowcat, snowmobile or dog sled or even snowshoeing and cross country skiing!

Ticket prices included a continental breakfast buffet on the morning trip, and apres ski snacks and soft drinks on the return trip.
