Charles K Toth
Charles K. Toth is a Research Professor at the Department of Civil, Environmental and Geodetic Engineering, The Ohio State University. He received a M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Geo-Information Sciences from the Technical University of Budapest, Hungary. His research expertise covers broad areas of spatial information systems, laser technology, high-resolution imaging, surface extraction, modeling, integrating and calibrating of multi-sensory systems, integrated geospatial data acquisition systems, 2D/3D signal processing, navigation and mobile mapping technology.
Prof. Toth is the President of the American Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS) and the Second Vice President of International Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS). He has published over 300 peer reviewed journal and proceedings papers, and is the Co-Editor of the widely popular book on laserscanning, Topographic Laser Ranging and Scanning: Principles and Processing. He is the recipient of numerous awards, the most notable one is the 2009 APSRS Photogrammetric Award.
