UAV and Mobile Lidar Fusion and Data Sharing for SR 417
Maser Consulting collected UAV and mobile LiDAR data along Florida’s State Route 417, as the primary source of survey for the corridor widening project underway for Central Florida Expressway. The project marks the first attempt in the State of Florida to fuse survey data from these distinctive ground-based and unmanned aerial collection systems into one cohesive and high-density data set to be used for design. In addition to data collection, the Maser team extracted surface features and produced a high-detail digital terrain model for the 400’ wide corridor. Ultimately, the data was published into the TopoCloud Pro environment for consumption by the project stakeholders.
