Biography

Dr. Neuenschwander is a research scientist at the Applied Research Laboratories at the University of Texas and serves as ecosystems lead on the NASA ICESat-2 Science Team. She is the developer of the ATL08 data product as well as ATL18 gridded product for the ICESat-s mission. In her role on the science team, she developed the off-nadir pointing scheme for the satellite that was adopted by the ICESat-2 Project Office. This pointing scheme ensures that the mission will meet its requirement for coverage of tracks in the mid-latitudes and systematically provides more unique measurements over vegetated ecosystems to the science community. Dr. Neuenschwander has over 25 years experience in remote sensing science.
