Biography

Dr. Lori Magruder is a Senior Research Scientist at Applied Research Laboratories, University of Texas at Austin with expertise with remote sensing sensor diagnostics, development, data validation and application techniques. With over 20 years of experience in this field she has successfully led her ARL:UT research group toward continued technical growth and expansion in support of the Government’s geospatial needs in algorithm development and data exploitation. Dr. Magruder provides technical and programmatic leadership to several active DoD tasks and also has served as the NASA ICESat-2 mission Science Team Leader since 2014. Dr. Magruder received her B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Southern California, her Master’s degree from Princeton University and her doctorate degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
