Paolo GUZZINI got a master degree in mechanical engineering at Polytechnic University of Marche, Italy in 2004. Member of Italian Engineer association he started his career as consultant for Accenture: he grew up in an international environment and he spent a couple of years in Switzerland and US helping companies to improve their manufacturing processes thanks to the implementation of ERP software SAP.
In 2007 he joined Terna, the Italian TSO where he covered, during ten years of experience, a variety of positions as project manager (he was in charge for the 60000 km LiDAR project for acquiring master data for EMF analysis and for the implementation of a custom IT platform to manage LIDAR data for O&M needs), strategic member of O&M committees (in charge for making some O&M tasks more efficient) and Head of the aerial unit, a new structure that was created by him in Terna with the aim of using aircrafts (helicopters and drones) and internal skilled resources to improve the effectiveness of monitoring processes on Lines and Substations with an increased efficiency of processes. While being in charge as head of aerial unit more than 100,000 km of LiDAR surveys were carried out for vegetation management and more 110,000 km of lines were inspected with IR technology.
He is now Product Manager for Power and Utilities market at Delair and he is attending as well an executive MBA in Rome at Luiss Business School.
